In response to potential Salmonella exposure, TFP Nutrition of Nacogdoches, TX, has initiated a voluntary recall of its Retriever All Life Stages Mini Chunk Chicken Recipe Dry Dog Food. Salmonella contamination can result in serious illness in both humans and pets. Symptoms in humans include nausea, vomiting, and fever, among others. Pets may experience symptoms like lethargy, diarrhea, and vomiting.

This recall was prompted by a positive test result for Salmonella in a routine sampling by the Office of the Texas State Chemist. To date, there have been no reported illnesses linked to this recall.
